Job Description
Simco of Southern Indiana currently has an opening for a delivery driver. Must be at least 21 years of age and have held a valid driver's license for more than one year. Must have a valid Indiana "For-Hire" license endorsement prior to starting. Must be able to pass a DOT (Department of Transportation) Physical. Must be comfortable driving large box trucks. 40 to 50 hours per week. Comfortable with overnight delivery, no more than 1 per week. Assist with loading & unloading trucks. Ability to lift and move 50lbs by yourself. Maintain digital logbook. Ensure trucks are clean and well maintained. Conduct pre & post drive inspections of vehicles. Report any vehicle issues. Ensure paperwork is signed by customers and returned to dispatch. When there are no deliveries to be made, willing to work around the warehouse conducting inventories and various other task.
