Smitty's Lawn & Garden Equipment is a retailer and service center for outdoor power equipment. This is a Part time to full-time position depending on skills and ability to fill in as a utility person in and around the shop, We are open 6 days a week, Saturdays required, we are closed on Sundays. This energetic position involves executing pickups and deliveries, assisting with shop support tasks, and providing exceptional customer service. Your mechanical aptitude, hands-on skills, and ability to navigate and execute exceptional customer service when delivering customers new or existing lawn equipment in a timely manner, while also concerned with customer satisfaction are the dominant skills required for this position. Other utility duties when not out on deliveries can include tasks such as assembling equipment, using a forklift to move equipment around the yard, unloading delivery trucks, sharping blades, repairing tires, tidying the shop and light mechanical duties. Delivery Driver Responsibilities:

Loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients in a safe, timely manner using various trucks such as a ¾ Ton truck pulling equipment on various size trailers and or a landscaping cabover truck. - CDL Not Required Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied. Assisting with loading and unloading items from trailers. Accepting payments for delivered items. Providing excellent customer service, including answering questions when equipment is delivered to the customer. Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules. Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record. Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries. Operating equipment, such as mowers, trailers, trucks, forklifts, etc. Washing units to ensure they are clean and ready to be delivered back to customer

Delivery Driver Requirements:

Performing routine inspection of trucks and trailers to ensure proper operation and safety. Have your own basic tools High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license. Clean driving record/ ability to pass Insurance review. Strong time management and customer service skills. Ability to walk, drive, and lift and carry heavy items for extended periods. Attention to detail. Pay is based on experience starting at $16/ per hour . Medical, Dental, Vision, AFLAC, and 401k available. Resume accepted via email, fax, or in person.
