FedEx Delivery Driver

Overview We are a Contracted service provider for FedEx seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to handle heavy lifting. Responsibilities Safely operate delivery vehicles, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. Load and unload goods from the vehicle, utilizing equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts as necessary. Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries while maintaining accurate delivery records. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Handle returns or exchanges of products as needed, ensuring proper documentation is completed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle. Experience Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with warehouse operations, including loading/unloading procedures. Experience operating manual transmission vehicles is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the workday. Knowledge of route driving techniques and local area geography is beneficial. Experience using courier services or working with commercial driving regulations is an advantage.
