Job Description
Delivery Driver (DOT Certified) - Job Description Express Employment is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Delivery Driver with a valid DOT certification to transport Electrical supplies, lighting, HVAC, Plumbing and tools efficiently and professionally. The ideal candidate will ensure timely deliveries, maintain compliance with Department of Transportation regulations, and provide excellent customer service. This position is a 2nd shift 2:00pm-10:30pm Monday-Friday. Will be delivering to Corydon, Indiana once a day. Responsibilities Safely operate a 26' flatbed truck. Load, transport, and unload products at customer locations, using a sit-down forklift. Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and required DOT documentation Plan and follow efficient delivery routes and schedules Verify delivery contents against invoices or manifests Communicate professionally with dispatchers, customers, and warehouse staff Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or delays promptly Follow all safety procedures and traffic laws Requirements Valid driver's license with current DOT Medical Card/Certification Clean driving record and ability to pass background check and drug screening Previous delivery driving or commercial driving experience preferred Ability to work independently and in various weather conditions Familiarity with GPS devices and delivery apps/systems Preferred Qualifications Experience operating box trucks Knowledge of DOT compliance and transportation safety standards Forklift is a plus Work Environment Local and/or regional routes depending on company needs Frequent standing, lifting, bending, and driving required
