Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Route Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, warehouse operations, and a strong commitment to ensuring timely deliveries. Responsibilities Operate an 18 wheeler truck or similar vehicle to deliver products to designated locations. Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and safety protocols are followed. Follow assigned routes and schedules while maintaining flexibility for changes as needed. Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns professionally. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation. Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including moving items, operating forklifts, and using pallet jacks. Skills Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients. Previous warehouse experience is preferred. Valid commercial driving license with experience operating 18 wheeler trucks. Proven delivery driver experience with a focus on route driving. Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving of goods as required. Familiarity with operating forklifts. Experience as a courier is desirable.
