Job Description
Student Transportation Driver A&K Family Learning Place Inc. - Bowie, MD (Bowie Town Center) A&K Family Learning Place is seeking dependable, caring, and safety-minded drivers to join our transportation team for the 2026/2027 school year. Drivers will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, before and aftercare programs, and other approved activities using a 15-passenger van. We are looking for individuals who enjoy working with children, communicate well with families, and understand the importance of safety, punctuality, and professionalism. Responsibilities Safely transport students to and from designated locations Maintain a safe and positive environment during transportation Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and management regarding routes and student transportation updates Follow all transportation safety procedures and driving regulations Arrive on time for scheduled routes Use GPS and communication tools as needed during routes Conduct routine vehicle safety checks and report concerns Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a background check Must be approved through the appropriate Public Service Commission (PSC) licensing and authorization process for transporting passengers in a 15-passenger vehicle Strong communication and organizational skills Must enjoy working with children Ability to sit, stand, assist students, and enter/exit the vehicle as needed Must own and maintain a working smartphone for communication and GPS purposes Knowledge of driving laws and transportation safety practices Reliable and punctual What We Offer Paid training Flexible morning and afternoon schedules Supportive team environment Opportunity to make a difference in the community Signing bonus opportunities available Join the A&K Family and help us safely support local students and families every day.
