Craft Beer Delivery Driver

Job Summary This position will offer roughly 40+ hours of work per week. Additionally, this position will introduce you to the Craft Beer/Beverage Industry.

OVERVIEW

Safely and efficiently deliver the company's products (cases and kegs) to bars and liquor stores from a commercial truck. A self-starter that has the ability to solve problems in a fast-paced environment. Responsible for loading and unloading of delivery truck daily.

DUTIES:

• Responsible for the condition of truck, refueling and notifying management of any maintenance issues.
• Operate vehicle in a safe and courteous manner.
• Complete the assigned route in a safe, accurate and efficient manner in varying weather conditions and challenging environments (i.e., stairs, curbs, docks, tight parking lots).
• Assist in warehouse as needed by unloading trucks, pulling merchandise for next day deliveries, cleaning warehouse, etc.
• Reconciles customers' invoice upon delivery by collecting payment(s).
• Provide customer service by listening and resolving customer concerns as they may arise
• passing all relevant information to Customers' assigned Sales Representative and or their Manager.
• Ensure assigned truck has the proper inventory before leaving and returning to the warehouse, and is accountable for all products and/or payments associated with said inventory.
• Maintain accurate records of route, follow check-in procedures, including restocking any returned items to the warehouse in the appropriate location(s).
• Always obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery
• adding essential notes whenever possible.

REQUIRED SKILLS

:

• Must be physically capable of handling and delivering between 200 and 500
• 30 lb. Cases/Kegs every day and capable of lifting up 165 lbs. (1/2 Keg) consistently on a daily basis
• Ability to bend and stoop.
• Face to face courteous contact with customers.
• Suggests and implements ways for company to improve profits, improve quality, and improve service.
• Must be able to constantly maintain a motor vehicle record that is satisfactory to management and meets requirements of Company's Insurance Carriers.
• Ability to read maps/directions and operate GPS units/Cell phone
• Ability to communicate effectively through email and telephone.
• Present a professional attitude and appearance.
• Ability to work flexible hours
• This position is subject to varying start times and all work must be completed daily
