In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering a variety of freight to multiple destinations along designated routes. Your expertise in truck driving, combined with your passion for excellent service, will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining safety standards. Responsibilities Safely operate various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other specialized freight vehicles. Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary. Follow designated routes accurately while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with company policies. Deliver freight promptly to customers, ensuring proper handling of sensitive or hazardous materials when applicable. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to confirm delivery schedules and resolve any issues that arise during route driving. Maintain detailed delivery logs, route documentation, and incident reports as required by company standards. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements suitable for the vehicle types operated. Proven experience in truck driving, including route driving and delivery operations. Comfortable operating manual transmission vehicles and specialized trucks such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or dump trucks. Experience with freight handling, load & unload procedures, and equipment like forklifts when necessary. Strong knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial driving and cargo transportation. Ability to perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading freight and inspecting vehicles regularly.
