Delivery Driver

Location:

Pay Rate:

$15.00/hour (Maryland State Minimum Wage) Position Summary Responsible for the safe, timely, and courteous delivery of floral arrangements, plants, and gift items to residential homes, businesses, hospitals, and funeral homes within Baltimore City and surrounding areas. [1]

Key Responsibilities Delivery Execution:

Load, secure, and deliver delicate floral products efficiently to avoid damage.

Route Navigation:

Utilize smartphone mapping apps to navigate city traffic and optimize delivery routes.

Customer Service:

Provide professional and friendly service upon delivery; obtain signatures or photos for proof of delivery when required.

Vehicle Maintenance:

Maintain a clean, fueled vehicle; report any vehicle issues immediately.

Shop Support:

Assist with non-delivery duties during down times, including loading/unloading, basic packaging, and organizing the delivery area. [1, 2, 3]

Requirements and Qualifications License:

Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.

Technology:

Must have a smartphone with GPS capabilities.

Physical Ability:

Able to lift and carry arrangements (approx. 25+ lbs) and handle constant bending, stopping, and climbing in/out of vehicle.

Local Knowledge:

Familiarity with Baltimore City streets, neighborhoods, and traffic patterns.

Professionalism:

Dependable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. [1, 2, 4] Preferred Skills Prior experience as a courier or delivery driver. Experience handling delicate or fragile items
