Duties Safely operate company vehicles for route driving, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and timely deliveries. Load, unload, and organize merchandise, often involving heavy lifting, ensuring items are secure for transit. Communicate clearly with customers upon delivery, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, enhancing sales opportunities during deliveries. Maintain accurate delivery records, including pricing details, delivery logs, and route documentation. Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs to ensure safety and compliance. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial driving or a similar role; military driving experience is a plus. Strong math skills for handling pricing calculations and basic inventory management. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks safely and efficiently. Organizational skills to manage routes, schedules, and delivery documentation accurately. Knowledge of route driving techniques and merchandising principles is preferred.
