Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Meal Delivery Driver and be the vital link that brings delicious meals directly to our clients' doors! This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine your driving skills with your passion in helping the older adults in the communities we serve. Responsibilities Safely operate various delivery vehicles, including custom half-ton,4-wheel drive pick up trucks and/or small delivery vans while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload weekly product delivery using, pallet jacks when necessary, ensuring items are handled with care. Drive assigned routes efficiently, managing multiple deliveries per day while maintaining a positive and caring attitude and professional appearance. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting clients warmly, answering questions, and ensuring their orders are accurate and complete. Provide program manager information about the status of the older adults needs. Load and unload deliveries at warehouses or customer locations, utilizing manual lifting techniques for heavy or bulky items. Typical client delivery is 1-2 boxes of meals. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and communicate vehicle performance to program manager to ensure compliance and safety standards are met. Communicate proactively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered during routes. Experience Prior delivery driver experience or courier work demonstrating familiarity with route driving and small load handling. Experience operating trucks in tight locations. Experience with box trucks with lift gates is preferred but not necessary. Knowledge of warehouse procedures including loading/unloading, heavy lifting, moving items safely, and using equipment like pallet jacks. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and office staff. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy boxes up to 35 lbs and moving items repeatedly throughout shifts.
