Israel LLC is looking for reliable, professional Independent Medical Courier Drivers for part-time, on-call VA medical courier route support in the Biloxi, Mississippi area . This opportunity is best suited for a driver located close to the main VA hospital: Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System, Biloxi, MS , who can respond quickly when contacted for route coverage, emergency pickup, weekend/holiday work, or other as-needed courier assignments. Drivers with a larger SUV, minivan, cargo van, or similar vehicle are strongly preferred. Vehicle must be clean, reliable, insured, and have working air conditioning. Main VA Hospital / Primary Route Hub Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System Biloxi, MS Drivers may be asked to support pickup and drop-off work between the main VA hospital and Mississippi-area route locations. -Call Expectations This is part-time on-call work , not a guaranteed daily route. Drivers should be available for as-needed coverage, including possible: Weekday route coverage Emergency or mission-critical pickup/delivery requests Weekend requests Holiday requests Substitute driver coverage Short-notice route support When contacted for an assignment, the driver must: Promptly answer or acknowledge dispatch communication Confirm whether the assignment is accepted Proceed without avoidable delay once accepted Meet the assigned pickup window Communicate immediately if delayed or unable to complete the route Transport items directly and professionally A fixed response time will be provided only if required for a specific dispatch assignment. Otherwise, drivers are expected to respond quickly and be close enough to the main VA hospital area to support timely pickup and delivery. Responsibilities The Independent Medical Courier Driver will: Pick up and deliver medical-type items, supplies, reports, specimens, or related materials as assigned Follow pickup and drop-off instructions exactly Keep courier items secure and protected during transport Maintain direct communication with Elijah P. Israel LLC Maintain a clean, professional vehicle environment Use a vehicle with working air conditioning Follow facility check-in, parking, access, and security instructions Obtain signatures or delivery confirmation when required Report delays, route issues, vehicle issues, access problems, damaged packaging, leaking items, or suspected tampering immediately Protect confidential medical and facility information Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all medical facilities
