Class A Regional Delivery Driver

Job Summary We are currently seeking Class A CDL Drivers for regional retail delivery . Drivers depart from the home terminal in Jackson, MS in the morning (2 AM - 5 AM). All equipment is provided. We deliver to retail stores across Central & Southern MS, LA & the Gulf Coast. Upon delivery at the store drivers use a pallet jack to unload the wrapped pallets, scan the pallet barcode, drop the pallets in the store's specified freight storage area, confirm the pallet count with the store receiving manager & get signed copies of the BOL . Occasionally, you may unload the pallets using a lift gate trailer if required.

Minimum Requirements:

Duties Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer across regional routes and adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Unload freight using appropriate equipment with pallet jacks and liftgates. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers. Verify shipment accuracy, complete delivery documentation, scan every pallet label, and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered on the route. Maintain a clean and safe vehicle environment, reporting any maintenance needs promptly to ensure compliance with safety standards. Skills Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid Class A CDL license. Strong knowledge of truck driving regulations and safety protocols for regional deliveries. Experience operating tractor-trailers and liftgates. Ability to load & unload freight efficiently using pallet jacks. Familiarity with route planning software and GPS navigation tools for effective route driving. Excellent communication skills for interacting with dispatchers, customers, and team members.
