Watkins Distributing is a family-owned and operated beverage distribution company that has proudly served Idaho and Montana for four generations.
Job Summary:
The Beverage Delivery Driver:
Class A CDL is responsible for local delivery and merchandising activities within an assigned territory, ensuring products are delivered safely, accurately, and professionally. The work schedule consists of 4, 10-hour shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete a pre-trip inspection of the assigned vehicle and equipment. Drive a designated route, delivering products safely, efficiently, and professionally while complying with all DOT regulations and traffic laws. Unload products from trailers using a pallet jack and/or hand truck. Verify deliveries with store personnel and check in all products upon arrival. Ensure order accuracy by confirming quantities and obtaining customer signatures. Stock cooler space, shelf space, and promotional displays during each delivery. Rotate products according to company freshness and merchandising standards. Retrieve empty keg shells, damaged merchandise, and incorrectly ordered products for return credit. Collect invoices and complete all required route documentation on a daily basis. Maintain effective communication with sales representatives and retail account personnel. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Preferred Skills & Abilities:
Previous delivery driving experience is preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and no major traffic violations. Ability to obtain and maintain a Class A CDL and valid medical card. Ability to safely maneuver a fully loaded hand truck. Ability to operate standard handheld computer and route management devices. Physical Demands & Work Environment Must be able to regularly lift and move beverage cases weighing 20-30 lbs. and lift up to 160 lbs. to waist level. Duties require frequent bending, squatting, reaching, and standing for extended periods. Work independently while servicing multiple retail accounts throughout the day. Safely operate delivery vehicles in a variety of weather and road conditions.
