PRODUCTION EMPLOYEE

(non-exempt) Download/Delivery 12/2021 Qualifications required: Mechanical aptitude and demonstrated ability to understand and work with common power tools. 2 years Delivery/CDL. 2 years Forklift experience Primary ResponsibilitiesTransportation & Deliveries Safely transport customer products, equipment, and materials to and from designated locations. Complete all scheduled pickups and deliveries on time. Verify all loads against work orders, packing slips, and customer instructions before leaving. Secure loads properly to prevent damage during transport. Maintain required DOT logs and vehicle inspection reports. Load Verification & Accountability Physically inspect all loads prior to departure. Confirm all pieces listed on work orders are loaded before leaving the facility. Report discrepancies immediately before departure. Ensure no customer parts, materials, or hardware are left behind. Obtain required delivery documentation, signatures, and proof of delivery. Product Protection Handle customer products with care during loading, transportation, and unloading. Prevent damage caused by improper loading, strapping, stacking, or unloading. Immediately report any damage, loss, or incidents to management. Maintain clean trailers and transport equipment to prevent contamination or damage to finished parts. Time Management & Productivity Follow assigned schedules and routes efficiently. Minimize unnecessary downtime, extended breaks, and delays. Maintain communication with dispatch/management regarding route status and completion times. Assist with loading, unloading, yard organization, and shop duties when transportation tasks are complete. Equipment Responsibilities Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Maintain cleanliness of trucks and trailers. Report maintenance concerns immediately. Ensure all transport equipment remains in safe operating condition. Communication Communicate professionally with customers at pickup and delivery locations. Notify management immediately of delays, missing parts, damaged products, or customer concerns Work directly with management to ensure all parts, jobs, and customers are accounted for.
