Delivery Driver Trainee United Carolina Beverages & Caffey Distributing Company Concord, NC Job Details 21 hours ago Qualifications Commercial truck driving Moving CDL A Team motivation (leadership skill) Technical Proficiency Team building Full Job Description The primary purpose of the Delivery Driver Trainer is to be the primary trainer for newly hired delivery drivers and trainees. The Delivery Driver Trainer will ensure all team members are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and behaviors needed to safely and effectively execute their routes. The Delivery Driver Trainer is expected to promote and exemplify a safe, professional, and service-oriented work environment at all times.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Represent the company in a professional manner and provide excellent customer service. Assist Delivery Manager and Delivery Supervisors in promotion of safe work practices to include frequent behavior-based safety observations. Confer with Delivery Supervisors to resolve customer problems, opportunities, competitive activity in your market, and potential overage situations. Primary responsibility, under supervision of Delivery Supervisor, for training new delivery drivers and trainees. Training should follow the Onboarding Schedule for each position within the department Conducts refresher training for delivery drivers upon request or due to performance issues. Participate in the development or improvement of standard operating procedures. Develops high level of proficiency in all delivery processes and procedures. Be a subject matter expert on all delivery processes and equipment ` Assist with all other delivery training duties as needed to ensure completion and compliance. Is familiar with routes in all areas and departments to ensure flexibility and route coverage. Is familiar with all types of delivery equipment, including, but not limited to pallet jacks, dock and dock-leveler, hand trucks, trucks and trailers. Maintain a friendly, working relationship with the Manager on each account on all routes in assigned area. Listen to and resolve service complaints. Prepare invoice, collect payment from customers and record transactions on customer receipt. Check in product with Store Manager, following store policy. Restock displays, coolers, and cold box with new product, maintain product rotation in backroom, cooler, and on displays Responsible for adhering to Overage Beer Policy. Comply with all FMCSR, state, and local laws and regulations. Maintain safe driving record and comply with company driving policy. Attend all scheduled meetings and company functions as required. Adhere to dress code, including safety "non-negotiables,". Obey all local, state, and federal laws and/or regulations. Comply with all company policies and procedures. Perform all other duties as assigned.
