Food Truck Driver

Job Summary:

The Food Truck Driver for Nothing Bundt Cakes is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of our branded food truck to various locations and events. This role also includes truck maintenance, setup and teardown at events, customer engagement, and representing the brand at community outreach and marketing events. The ideal candidate is dependable, outgoing, mechanically inclined, and passionate about delivering our products to consumers.

Key Responsibilities:

Driving & Operations:

Safely drive and operate the food truck to scheduled destinations, events, and promotional sites. Navigate city streets, highways, and event areas while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete related logs or checklists. Set up and break down truck operations (e.g., power supply, displays, serving equipment).

Maintenance:

Maintain truck cleanliness (interior and exterior), fuel levels, and report any maintenance issues. Perform basic mechanical checks and coordinate scheduled maintenance or repairs. Monitor equipment functionality (e.g., refrigeration units, generator, etc.) to ensure safe food storage and service.

Marketing & Events:

Will actively research, pursue and book events for the food truck. Represent Nothing Bundt Cakes in a friendly, enthusiastic, and professional manner at all events. Support setup of event displays, signage, branded materials, and samples. Assist in product promotions, giveaways, and social media opportunities (photos/videos). Communicate event feedback to marketing team for continuous improvement.

Customer Service:

Greet and serve customers in line with Nothing Bundt Cakes' hospitality standards. Operate point-of-sale systems and handle cash/credit card transactions accurately. Answer questions about products and promotions.

Qualifications:

Valid driver's license and clean driving record Experience driving large vehicles or box trucks preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods. Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Comfortable working outdoors and in fast-paced environments. Flexible schedule with availability for weekends, evenings, and special events.

Preferred Skills:

Food service or food truck experience a plus. Basic understanding of event marketing. Mechanically inclined with troubleshooting ability. Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.

Work Environment:

This role involves outdoor work in varying weather conditions, driving long distances, and interacting with diverse customers. Events may be early morning, late evening, or on weekends. Pay:

$16.00 - $19.00 per hour
