Grass Roots, Inc. is a service-oriented distributor of Turfgrass maintenance supplies including pesticides, fertilizers, seed, adjuvants, top-dressings and hard goods with a strong presence in the golf market since 1978. We are excited about adding to our team to maintain our position as the standard for service in the market. We currently focus on customers in NJ, NY, PA and CT. We also have customers in other areas including DE, MD and

MA. DUTIES

• Warehouse ○ Operate forklift at warehouse in shipping & receiving. ○ Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in the delivery area. ○ Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, walk-up counter, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, and rules.
• Service Requirements ○ Complete deliveries by driving box truck or van to and from customers in the South Jersey, Philadelphia and Delaware/Maryland areas.

○ Maintain truck or van by completing preventive maintenance requirements; arranging for repairs/service. ○ Provide quality service by following organization standards.

Other Info:

• Work-week includes Saturdays (Half Day) Apr.-Sept. (Emergency "On-Call" Nov-Mar) on a rotating schedule
• Work with the Lawn & Sports Turf Division to maximize shared resources and opportunities
• Position requires lifting/carrying/stacking bags, cases and rolls of products weighing +/-50 pounds each ○ In warehouse pulling orders and loading customer vehicles ○ In van/box truck, loading and unloading deliveries and pick-ups
• Position requires the use of a manual pallet jack for box truck deliveries ○ Pallets weigh 1+ ton(s) on average ○ Heaviest pallets weigh 2,800 pounds ○ Position requires using manual pallet jack to push/pull full pallets from box truck onto liftgate and to customers' storage areas

COMPENSATION

• $25.

00/hour Non-CDL $30.00/hour
