Part Time Truck Driver Talay Trailer Sales & Rentals Inc Township of Lawrence, NJ Job Details Part-time $28 - $30 an hour 15 hours ago Qualifications Outdoor work CDL A Load securement DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Attention to detail Manual transmission Full Job Description Position Title Part-Time CDL Driver / Trailer Transport Driver Location Lawrence Township, NJ Position Type Part-Time Compensation $28.00 - $30.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications) Schedule Monday through Friday Approximately 25-30 hours per week Occasional Saturday coverage, as needed Position Summary We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Part-Time Driver to support the pickup, delivery, and relocation of trailers throughout New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will have experience operating commercial vehicles, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism with customers and team members. Key Responsibilities Pickup and deliver trailers to customer locations and company yards within NJ, NY, and PA Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of all equipment Ensure trailers are transported safely and in compliance with DOT regulations Maintain accurate delivery and pickup documentation Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations regarding schedules and updates Report any equipment issues, damages, or safety concerns immediately Provide professional and courteous customer service at all times Assist with occasional yard organization and trailer positioning, as needed Qualifications Valid CDL Class A driver's license preferred (or applicable license based on equipment requirements) Clean driving record with strong safety history Minimum 2 years of trailer transportation and/or commercial driving experience preferred Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles preferred Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented Ability to work flexible hours when business needs require Physical Requirements Ability to climb in and out of trucks and trailers safely Ability to perform trailer inspections and secure equipment Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., as needed Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Benefits Competitive hourly pay Flexible part-time schedule Opportunity for additional hours based on business needs Supportive team environment
