Job Description

Job Summary Primary responsibility is cleaning tableware, kitchenware, storage areas, kitchen floors, walls, dish area and employee bathroom. Cleaning tableware and kitchenware is done according to health regulations. Primary responsibility is taking in house deliveries, providing excellent customer service, completing deliveries in a timely manner, cashing out customers' delivery orders, knowledge of delivery area and the local area, stocking items needed for deliveries. Stocks serving area and wait station with clean kitchenware. Keeps area of responsibility free of trash. Assists cooks as needed. Reports to Kitchen Manager. Paid parking available. Functions and Responsibilities
  • Keeps dishwashing area clean and tidy
  • Keeps track of any cleaning liquids needed
  • Washes dishes, pots, silverware, etc. in a timely manner and according to health
  • regulations
  • Keeps kitchenware storage areas clean and orderly
  • Cleans spills in restaurant as needed
  • Takes out mats, sweeps and mops floors in kitchen and wash station.
  • Breaks down boxes
  • Fold pizza boxes
  • Keep delivery station clean, organized and stocked
  • Prepare to-go bags for deliveries
  • Stock necessary to-go items
  • Prepare for upcoming deliveries
  • Cleans and stocks employee restroom upstairs routinely
  • Attends safety meetings
  • Follows all safety and health procedures
  • Responsible for other duties as assigned Working Environment Work is conducted inside and is subject to temperature extremes, wet floors, noise, chemicals and gasses.
During peak season, there is a steady flow of employees in the kitchen and work can be stressful. Equipment Used Reliable vehicle. Equipment handled includes commercial dishwasher, gas operated stoves and cook tops, microwave, warming equipment, coffee machines, knives, kitchenware, trash containers. Required Protective Equipment Non - skid shoes. Gloves when needed. Physical Demands The dishwasher should be in good physical condition that allows them to bend, kneel and stoop, so they can pick up items such as loads of dishes and other kitchen tools, machinery and food preparation equipment. The dishwasher may be required to lift up to 50 lbs. during the day. Requirements Must have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver's license, must have updated registration and insurance. Minimum high school diploma or equivalent or currently a student in good standing. Must be able to speak and understand the primary language of guests and coworkers. Must be able to follow instructions and complete tasks promptly. Must be proficient in basic business math. Must be a self-starter and able to complete duties without supervision.
