Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles, including manual transmission models, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Load and unload packages using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques to ensure secure delivery of goods Deliver packages accurately and efficiently along designated routes, providing excellent customer service at each stop Verify delivery details, obtain signatures when required, and handle any delivery discrepancies professionally Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance before each shift Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, route progress, and vehicle maintenance reports Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates or delivery issues to ensure smooth operations Qualifications Prior experience as a delivery driver or courier is highly preferred; experience with route driving is a plus Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients Warehouse experience or familiarity with load & unload procedures enhances your effectiveness in this role Ability to lift heavy packages regularly and perform physical tasks such as moving items using forklifts or pallet jacks Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driver's license (CDL) is advantageous but not mandatory Knowledge of manual transmission vehicles is beneficial; willingness to learn if not already experienced Excellent time management skills with the ability to follow scheduled routes precisely This role offers an energetic work environment where your efforts directly contribute to customer satisfaction and operational success.
