About the Role As a Delivery Driver, you will: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, including lights, fluids, and tires, to guarantee vehicle safety and regulatory compliance. Operate commercial vehicles to execute product deliveries along predetermined local routes, ensuring adherence to schedules. Strategically plan efficient delivery routes, considering factors such as urgency, traffic conditions, and cost-effectiveness, to optimize delivery performance. Handle delivery paperwork, including bills of lading and shipping documents, with precision to maintain accurate records. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing techniques for safe transport and minimizing the risk of damage. Cross-verify product counts against shipping documentation to uphold accuracy and prevent discrepancies. Maintain detailed driver logs and mileage records, adhering strictly to all relevant regulations to ensure compliance. Collaborate with maintenance providers to coordinate vehicle upkeep and repairs, minimizing downtime and ensuring operational readiness. Assist in daily shipping and warehouse activities during periods when not actively engaged in driving duties, supporting overall team efficiency. About You You're a fit for the role of Delivery Driver, if your background includes: Required Skills Possession of a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class B. Must be at least 21 years of age to comply with DOT requirements. Proficiency in interpreting maps, utilizing GPS navigation, and effectively navigating regional routes. Preferred Skills Previous experience as a truck driver, delivery driver, or route driver. Comprehensive understanding of DOT regulations and safe driving practices. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Capability to lift, load, and move materials as necessary.
