Job Summary We are seeking reliable and compassionate delivery drivers to join our Feeding the Elderly program. Drivers play a vital role in ensuring meals are delivered safely and on time from our Long Island City warehouse to elderly residents across Brooklyn. This is more than just a driving position—it's about providing care, consistency, and dignity to members of our community. Responsibilities Pick up prepared meal packages from the Long Island City warehouse each day. Safely and efficiently deliver meals to designated addresses in Brooklyn on assigned routes. Provide courteous, respectful interaction with elderly clients at each delivery, addressing any inquiries or concerns . Maintain accurate delivery logs and confirm successful drop-offs. Communicate promptly with supervisors about route issues, delays, or concerns. Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols. Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage Navigate delivery routes efficiently while maintaining schedules Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks Maintain accurate records of deliveries Assist in warehouse duties when not on the road, including inventory management Qualifications Valid New York State driver's license with a clean driving record. Previous delivery experience preferred, but not required. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. Strong time management and reliability. Friendly, patient, and professional demeanor when interacting with elderly clients. Familiarity with Brooklyn streets and neighborhoods a plus. Familiarity with route driving and navigation systems Warehouse experience is a plus, including knowledge of loading/unloading procedures Schedule & Pay Starting pay: $22 per hour . Shifts begin at the Long Island City warehouse. Routes cover Brooklyn deliveries. Full-time and part-time shifts available.
