We are currently seeking a Delivery Technician is responsible for the safe and prompt delivery and pick up of critical care durable medical equipment medical facilities within the Gahanna, OH territory! Hours of operations are Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. This position has a mandatory paid on-call rotations that includes scheduled nights, weekends, and occasional holiday deliveries for a considerable commissions structure .
Job Duties:
Responsible for processing each order completely and accurately; picking of specific medical equipment and quantities as ordered by the customer. Successful order inventory notation, verification of order lot numbers, quantities, and expiration dates on any circuits or kits. Securing equipment and all accessories for orders in a safe, effective, and efficient manner, then successively moving the equipment to or from the customer's specified location. Expected to complete routes in an efficient, timely and safe manner. Expected to complete on-line and manual documentation for all routes and orders accurately and promptly. Responsible for loading and unloading of equipment into company vehicles as needed. Assists with daily vehicle maintenance to ensure vehicles are kept clean and well maintained. Ensure that patient ready equipment and order processing areas are kept clean and organized. Ensures the completeness, accuracy and legibility of delivery and pickup documentation. Promotes teamwork among co-workers which includes assisting in other areas of the operations as necessary which includes processing of returned rental equipment when needed. Demonstrates courtesy and patience when dealing with co-workers as well as customer staff. Assist with inventory counts and accessory kit building when necessary. Participate in the distribution on-call, after-hours rotation, and expected to work overtime with short notice. Communicates promptly to operations manager, facility contacts, and customer service department in a timely manner to ensure prompt delivery updates are given in timely fashion. Shows respect and promotes excellent customer service skills for our customers and vendors. Participates in all equipment cleaning and disinfection processes as defined by management.
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years Non-CDL delivery driving experience, durable medical equipment experience preferred. High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Current valid driver license. Satisfactory completion of background check, DOT physical and drug screening. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Certificate required for driving a company vehicle throughout employment. Must be able to lift 75 pounds regularly for loading and unloading medical equipment and supplies into company vehicles. Must be at least 21 years old. Must be insurable on the company's vehicle insurance policy. Safe techniques should be employed in all aspects of the job and the workplace.
