This role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of company trucks and trailers in support of Rainbow Valley's job sites and yard operations. This role involves loading, unloading, and transporting debris, recyclable materials, equipment, and materials to and from job sites in support of field crews and projects as needed and at the direction of our Lead Carpenters and Project Managers. At our shop it involves fleet and yard maintenance in coordination with and at the direction of our Construction Support Services and Facilities Supervisor Rainbow Valley Design and Construction specializes in the design and construction of custom residential projects - new homes, additions, remodels, and outdoor spaces. This position plays an important role in our success and impacts our positive performance on projects throughout Eugene/Springfield and surrounding communities. QUALIFICATIONS AND PERFOMANCE EXPECTATIONS
Valid Oregon Driver's License and clean driving record minimum; CDL preferred. Proven experience driving large trucks and handling trailers. Manage schedule and prioritize tasks while receiving requests and direction from multiple project managers, lead carpenters, and/or direct supervisor. Document and track routine tasks and keep yard and workspaces organized. Clear, timely, respectful, and honest communication with entire team, including: direct supervisor, project managers, lead carpenters, other coworkers, and clients. We use a combination of face-to-face communication, phone conversations, texting, and computer-based applications for project management and tool tracking. Most communication is in English. General knowledge of construction materials, tools, and jobsite operations preferred. Basic proficiency with GPS navigation and mobile communication tools. Ability to accurately record time, mileage, and job data. Time is recorded using a phone app. Ability to consistently conduct clear, respectful and timely communication with clients, co-workers, sub-contractors, and vendors, both digitally and in person. Carpentry experience is a plus by not required.

Demonstrate attention to quality, safety, and professionalism in daily work. Maintain high standards of maintenance, safety, and presentation of our fleet of vehicles and trailers. Take ownership of assigned tasks and follow them through to completion. Be reliable - Present each working day, on time, prepared to work, and able to work independently or with and among varied/diverse teams. Be capable of the physical demands of the role.
Such as:
safely moving building materials, tools, ladders, etc. Be respectful of our clients, their homes, co-workers, sub-contractors, and vendors. Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. Be able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and carry in a variety of construction jobsite conditions including: steep hills, uneven ground, roofs, and crawlspaces. Ability to work in all weather conditions and adapt to changing job-site demands. Maintain a professional appearance appropriate for a residential construction environment, including wearing clean, functional work clothing and practicing good personal hygiene while complying with all safety and PPE requirements. SPECIFICS + BENEFITS
Hours:
This is a full-time position. For us that means 37-40 hours per week. We rarely work weekends or exceed 40 hours of work in one week.
Benefits:
Health Insurance:
You will be eligible after 60 days of employment. We offer a Silver-level plan (employees pay $50/month) or a Health Savings Account plan (employees pay nothing, and the company adds $35/month to the HSA).
Paid Time Off:
You start accruing paid time off (PTO) immediately and can start using it after 30 days. Year 0-4 you are eligible to accrue up to 48 hours. Years 5-9 - 80 hours. Years 10-14 - 120 hours. Years 15+ - 160 hours.
Paid Holidays:
We pay your wages for 6 holidays and 1 day for your birthday each year. You can choose the holidays for which you would like to be paid.
Simple IRA Matching Retirement Fund:
We match your contributions to a retirement account up to 3% of your gross wages.
Yearend bonuses:
We give out annual bonuses at the end of the year based on the profitability of the year, an employee's individual effort, and their longevity with Rainbow Valley. Hourly Compensation:
