(Department of Transportation) regulations Tanker Endorsement Full Job Description Carmyn is seeking an experienced, full-time Fuel Truck Driver to work varied shifts depending on the days schedule, with weekend availability required. Shifts may begin at 7:00pm or 8:00pm and will last an average of 8 - 10hrs per shift. The Fuel Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation and delivery of petroleum products to various customer locations. This role involves monitoring, loading, and offloading fuel, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining high standards of customer service. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate operational excellence while adhering to strict safety protocols in a fast-paced work environment. A positive attitude and a willingness to learn are vital traits that we value at Carmyn. Essential Duties
FUEL DELIVERY
Safely operate fuel transport vehicles to deliver petroleum products, including gasoline, diesel, and lubricants, to commercial and residential customers. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
LOADING AND UNLOADING
Accurately load and offload petroleum products, monitoring flow rates and ensuring proper connections to prevent spills and leaks. Maintain accurate records of fuel quantities transferred, completing necessary documentation for each delivery.
SAFETY COMPLIANCE
Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations related to hazardous materials transportation and environmental protection. Participate in safety training and emergency response drills, being prepared to manage spills or hazardous incidents. Implement safety features such as interlock systems while operating the truck, ensuring the highest standards of safety at all times.
EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE
Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip maintenance and inspections of delivery equipment, reporting any mechanical issues promptly to the maintenance team. Ensure that delivery vehicles and fueling equipment are clean and properly maintained.
CUSTOMER SERVICE
Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers through effective communication and timely service. Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to fuel delivery and service.
OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE
Complete operational checklists, including placement of cones and wheel chalking, for safety, and ensure optimal operational efficiency. Utilize technology such as barcode scanners for accurate fuel dispensing and operational management at various customer sites. Consent to drug testing program. Minimum Qualifications Valid Class
A OR CLASS B CDL
with Tank and HazMat endorsement is required TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) is mandatory OR the ability to obtain within 6 weeks of start date.
