This position will support classrooms throughout the center as needed and assist with afterschool transportation and classroom coverage. The ideal candidate is dependable, adaptable, and comfortable working with children of different age groups. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in early childhood education while working in a supportive childcare environment. Responsibilities Float between classrooms throughout the day as needed Provide classroom support in: Infant Room Young Toddler Room Toddler Room Preschool Classroom Afterschool Program Summer Camp Program Cover classrooms independently when teachers are absent or unavailable Maintain classroom routines, supervision, and structure while covering classrooms Assist with activities, transitions, meals, and daily routines Pick up children from school safely and on time Assist with afterschool/summer programming and supervision Maintain active supervision and classroom safety at all times Follow Pennsylvania DHS regulations and center policies Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Minimum of 2 years experience working with children or in early childhood education required Valid Driver's License required Clean driving record preferred Ability to manage a classroom independently when needed Flexible, dependable, and team-oriented Must be able to obtain Pennsylvania childcare clearances Benefits Flexible part-time schedule Supportive team environment Opportunity for growth within the center Experience working with multiple age groups Additional Information Perfect for college students or individuals entering the childcare field.
