Full-Time Position Summary The Food Truck Driver / Manager is responsible for the complete operation of the food truck, including transportation, setup, team leadership, food quality, customer service, and financial performance. This role ensures the truck operates safely, efficiently, and profitably at all locations and events. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires driving, managing staff, and actively working in daily service. Key ResponsibilitiesDriving & Logistics Safely operate and transport the food truck to all scheduled locations and events Plan routes, arrival times, and setup logistics Perform daily vehicle inspections (fuel, oil, tires, propane, generator) Ensure truck is parked, leveled, and fully operational before service Coordinate repairs and maintenance as needed Daily Operations Oversee full setup and breakdown of the food truck Ensure all equipment is on, stocked, and ready for service Maintain smooth, fast, and organized service flow Step into any role when needed (cashier, expo, cook, runner) Team Management Train, supervise, and lead all food truck staff Create schedules based on sales volume and events Conduct pre-shift meetings and set expectations Hold team accountable for performance, speed, and cleanliness Food Quality & Safety Ensure all food is prepared to company standards Maintain consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation Enforce all food safety and sanitation guidelines Monitor holding times, temperatures, and product rotation Customer Service Deliver fast, friendly, and accurate service Handle customer issues and resolve complaints professionally Maintain a strong brand presence and positive guest experience Inventory & Prep Manage inventory levels, ordering, and restocking Coordinate daily prep with kitchen/commissary Minimize waste and control food cost Ensure truck is fully stocked before leaving for service Sales & Financial Responsibility Track daily sales and performance Manage labor cost and staffing efficiency Ensure accurate cash handling and POS transactions Be accountable for truck profitability Compliance & Safety Ensure all permits, licenses, and insurance are up to date Follow local regulations for food trucks and events Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to operate a food truck or large vehicle 2+ years of restaurant or food service management experience Strong leadership and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Flexible schedule (nights, weekends, events) Preferred Experience Food truck or mobile kitchen experience High-volume fast-casual restaurant background Experience with POS systems (Toast or similar)
Pay:
$16.00 - $22.00 per hour
