Package Delivery Driver

GSC Merrell Enterprises Inc. is a small company that operates as an independent service provider for FedEx Ground. That means we contract solely with FedEx Ground to deliver and pick up their packages. Our drivers provide exceptional customer service to business and residential customers to ensure packages are delivered in a timely and secure manner. Business is booming!!! Our volume of deliveries and packages is rapidly increasing and we are looking to add permanent full-time drivers.

Primary Job Duties:

• Drive a 15 foot or larger box truck or step van in a safe and courteous manner
• Organize packages on truck
• Deliver packages to business and residential customers using the most efficient route possible
• Pick up and load packages from businesses within designated time frames
• Communicate with customers, team members, and management to ensure service goals are met

Job Qualifications:

• CDL is NOT required!
• Minimum 12 months of work-related driving experience within the last 36 months (could include restaurant delivery, furniture delivery, courier service, transporting passengers, driving a company vehicle for any type of business)
• At least 21 years of age
• Ability to pass DOT physical, drug test, random drug tests, background check (no felonies or theft charges)
• Good driving record (Motor Vehicle Record will be checked)
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions, read a map and/or use a gps system to locate addresses
• Ability to move up to 150+lbs with the help of a hand truck
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, move boxes, get into and out of truck repeatedly
• Ability to work and drive in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, daylight and nighttime)
