Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Local Class A Delivery Driver to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting medical supplies and equipment to various healthcare facilities and clients within your local area. Your expertise in driving commercial trucks and managing deliveries will ensure timely service and exceptional customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Safely operate a Class A tractor-trailer truck, including manual transmission vehicles, to deliver medical supplies across designated routes. Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks when necessary. Drive refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or dump trucks based on delivery requirements. Verify delivery paperwork, inspect loads for accuracy, and ensure all safety protocols are followed during transit. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle inspection records. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly. Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met. Skills Proven experience in truck driving, including commercial driving with Class A licenses. Familiarity with operating manual transmission trucks and various specialized trailers such as refrigerated units or flatbeds. Experience handling freight load & unload procedures using forklifts or other equipment. Knowledge of route driving best practices to optimize efficiency and safety. Ability to manage deliveries involving freight types like tanker loads or roll-off containers. Strong understanding of safety regulations related to trucking, including DOT compliance. Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members effectively.
