Donation Pick-up and Delivery Truck Driver

Part-time, Tuesday-Saturday Salary:

$15.00-$18.00 per hour, depending on qualifications

Duties:

Operate donation trucks in a safe, lawful, and courteous manner. Maintain the cleanliness of the trucks' interior and exterior. Regular maintenance checks to ensure the readiness of the truck and equipment at all times. Including reporting any maintenance concerns to the supervisor. Daily safety checks to ensure the truck is safe to be on the road. Regular communication with the Assistant Manager and Manager. Loading and unloading of donations in a safe and efficient manner. Placing and securing loads as trained. Professional and courteous interaction with donors, including the utmost care and concern for personal property. Assists with donation processing, recycling, and store needs when not assigned to the truck. Able to pass a forklift training course. Drivers must be eligible to be added to Habitat vehicle insurance, which requires at least 5 years of driving experience and a favorable driving record. Other Duties Be able to communicate the Mission of Habitat for Humanity Assist with Habitat special events as needed. Comply with all policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor and Store Manager. Ability to adhere to the schedule and show initiative. Be customer service-oriented. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for an extended period, to move and handle boxes of merchandise, furniture, and fixtures over varied terrain, including stairs and through doorways. Ability to lift 75 pounds, assisted. Criminal background checks and driving record histories will be conducted on prospective employees prior to extending a job offer.
