Required Any combination of education and experience equivalent to completion of the tenth grade. Some experience in automotive transportation and/or delivery. Possession of an appropriate, valid motor vehicle operator's license with a good driving record and no preventable accidents. Must be free of any infectious or communicable disease which, according to a determination by the United States Secretary of Health and Human Services, poses a risk of transmission through the handling of food. Ability to operate, service, and maintain light automotive vehicle used for the transportation of food and food supplies. Ability to learn delivery routes and all school locations. Ability to meet schedules and timelines. Ability to maintain records. Ability to understand, interpret, and follow verbal and written instructions. Proficiency in English to understand highway traffic signs and signals (Section 391.11 Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations). Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.

Food Services Major Duties/Essential Functions:
Performs one or more of the following sets of activities and related duties as assigned: On an assigned route or as a relief driver: Loads, transports, and delivers food, supplies, and equipment to designated finishing kitchens, contract sites, and vending machines and returns empty food containers to a central kitchen. At a central food preparation kitchen: Follows oral and written instructions, participates in the assembling of goods to be delivered and loading of food, supplies, and equipment into a van or related automotive vehicle. Drives assigned vehicle in a safe manner to assigned schools and/or sites adhering to delivery schedule. Unloads or assists with unloading the vehicle and loading and returning empty food containers. Cleans, sanitizes, and maintains transporting equipment to comply with prescribed health and safety requirements. Cleans, washes, and sanitizes vehicle and performs routine preventative maintenance and servicing, stocking, and utensil washing at the central kitchen, as assigned. Stocks vending machines. Transports bank deposits from finishing kitchen to central kitchen according to procedures.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
This job requires the strength, agility, dexterity, and visual acuity to perform all tasks. While performing the duties of this job, the employee must adhere to all site safety regulations and may be required to regularly stand, sit, walk, bend, climb ladders, and/or kneel. There may be exposure to extreme heat and cold, outdoor environments, heavy equipment, moving machinery, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noises. This job requires lifting up to 25 lbs., periodically lifting/moving up to 50 lbs., and occasional lifting/moving up to 100 lbs. alone or with assistance.
