Responsibilities Safely operate company vehicles to deliver products along designated routes, ensuring timely arrivals. Load and unload merchandise, often requiring heavy lifting, while maintaining safety protocols. Engage with customers professionally, answer questions, and promote additional products through upselling when appropriate. Verify delivery accuracy by checking orders against packing lists and processing payments or pricing adjustments as needed. Maintain organized delivery schedules and route plans to optimize efficiency. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered on the route. Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and report any maintenance needs promptly. Skills Proven experience in commercial driving with a clean driving record. Strong math skills for handling pricing, calculations, and basic inventory management. Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with customers and team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading and unloading processes. Knowledge of route driving techniques for optimal navigation and time management. Customer service orientation with a friendly, professional demeanor. Organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries accurately throughout the day. Familiarity with merchandising practices to present products appealingly at delivery points. Experience in sales or upselling strategies to enhance customer interactions. Military background preferred for discipline, route familiarity, or heavy lifting experience.
