Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and experienced mover who is capable of driving a box truck. This role involves residential and commercial moves, as well as warehouse and delivery work. The ideal candidate is comfortable driving a van or box truck, moving furniture and household goods, and interacting professionally with customers. Strong customer service, attention to detail, and safe driving habits are essential. Duties and Responsibilities You will operate a box truck and drive safely in compliance with traffic laws and company policies. Daily responsibilities include loading and unloading furniture and household goods according to company standards, using equipment such as pallet jacks and dollies, and maintaining a steady and efficient pace on moving jobs. You will perform basic assembly and disassembly of items such as beds, treadmills, washers, doors, and other household goods. This role also requires completing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, keeping accurate delivery records, maintaining a clean and organized truck and work environment, and working collaboratively with teammates and warehouse staff. You must be able to work until the job is completed, as move lengths can vary. Experience and Requirements Previous experience as a mover or delivery driver is preferred. Candidates should have knowledge of safe driving practices and commercial driving expectations, be physically capable of lifting and moving heavy items, and communicate clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers. A strong focus on safety, reliability, and customer service is required. Schedule and Pay This position offers flexible scheduling depending on the season. During slower months, expect approximately 20-35 hours per week , and during peak moving season, around 30 or more hours per week . The average workday is about 7 hours , with many days ranging from 8-10 hours . On rare occasions, shifts may extend beyond 12 hours . Experienced movers can earn $27-$32 per hour , while movers without prior experience can earn $23-$27 per hour . These positions do not currently offer benefits. A $2 per hour weekend incentive is paid for Saturday and Sunday work. Part-Time and Weekend Opportunities Part-time and weekend-only positions are available, making this a great option for those looking to supplement their income or maintain a flexible schedule.
