Job Description
We are actively seeking to add a full-time Route Sales and Delivery Specialist to our team at our Menomonie, WI location. As a Route Sales and Delivery Specialist you will sell, transport, and service dairy supplies and animal health solutions for our local customers in Minnesota and Wisconsin. This individual partners with our company experts to provide a comprehensive, hands-on experience with dairy hygiene chemicals, animal health products, and milking equipment to our customers. To ensure success as a Route Sales and Delivery Specialist, this individual should demonstrate a sound knowledge of sales strategies and sales experience in a similar industry, have a strong work ethic and be self-motivated, honest, dependable, customer-focused, and enjoy being outdoors and having the independence of managing their own route with the support of a team-based environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Route Management & Customer Service Manage and service an assigned customer route across Minnesota and Wisconsin, maintaining strong, long‑term relationships with dairy producers. Serve as a trusted point of contact for customers by providing responsive, reliable, and professional service. Schedule and prioritize daily route activities to meet customer needs and delivery timelines. Sales & Account Development Sell dairy hygiene chemicals, animal health products, and related dairy supplies to existing customers. Identify opportunities to grow sales through product recommendations, upselling, and cross‑selling based on customer operations. Collaborate with internal sales and dairy specialists to deliver comprehensive, value‑added solutions. Delivery & Transportation Safely transport, load, and unload dairy products and animal health supplies using company vehicles. Operate vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations, CDL requirements, and Hazmat protocols. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and ensure proper handling of regulated materials. Technical Support & Product Knowledge Demonstrate and explain the proper use of dairy equipment, hygiene chemicals, and animal health products. Provide hands‑on support and basic troubleshooting related to milking equipment and dairy sanitation practices. Stay current on product knowledge, industry best practices, and on‑farm safety standards. Equipment, Safety & Compliance Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly. Follow all company safety policies and regulatory requirements while on customer farms. Maintain a clean, organized vehicle and manage inventory responsibly. Physical & Environmental Duties Lift, carry, and move products weighing up to 100 pounds. Perform physical tasks including bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling. Work primarily outdoors on dairy farms and in barns in varying weather and temperature conditions. Professional Conduct & Team Collaboration Represent the company with honesty, integrity, and professionalism. Work independently while contributing to a team‑based environment. Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and internal partners.Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent Valid CDL with Hazmat endorsement and good driving record are required Understanding and knowledge of dairy equipment and supplies is a plus Herdsman experience is a plusSchedule:
