Summary Description:
In your role as Delivery Driver, you will see our customers more than anyone else in the company. Your words and actions will be a direct reflection of the company. In this role you will be our ambassador in sharing a positive and professional message throughout each day. Ideal candidates will bepunctual, hardworking, having a willingness to learn, and showing professionalism while collaborating with customers.
Essential Functions:
Assist in pulling orders for delivery . Must be able to read and correctly match part numbers to an invoice. Load customer orders into vehicles. Follow designated routes and delivery time schedules. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and inventory. Safely and efficiently deliver auto parts to the correct customers. Provide excellent customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction. Drive within accordance with all current street laws. Maintain a clean delivery vehicle. Follow the vehicle maintenance check list each week. Notify the Sales Team of any suspicious product or activity in customer shops. Help check in and put away stock. Additional responsibilities as required by management
Secondary Responsibilities:
Sweep, clean, remove trash, clean bathrooms, and any other cleaning responsibilities that are needed. Keep the outside parking lot cleaned, front yard cut, and shrubs trimmed. Assist in unloading of incoming freight. Summer, maintain the outdoor appearance of the store, by cutting grass, pickup trash, and sweep parking lot. Winter, keep outside a safe area for customers by shoveling and salting the parking lot and sidewalk.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Valid , unrestricted driver's license with a acceptable driving record and insurable. Must be able to pass a criminal background check and driving record check. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations during deliveries. Strong knowledge of the local area and efficient route planning skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately handle inventory. Ability to work independently and meet delivery deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs frequently throughout the day. Regular and predictable attendance. Stand, sit, and walk for extended periods of time. Be able to manage a variety of stressful situations. Education - Experience High School Diploma or Equivalent. Three years general driving experience .
