Job Description
Job Summary Environmental company looking for part-time driver to Tractor and lowboy, operate roll-off and vacuum truck locally. Responsibilities Safely operate a variety of trucks such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, , tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks to transport freight efficiently. Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment like forklifts or manual methods, ensuring proper handling of freight. Drive along assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure timely deliveries. Conduct pre-trip inspections on vehicles to verify mechanical safety and compliance with transportation standards. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery records throughout each shift. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries while providing excellent customer service. Assist in securing loads properly for transport and ensure cargo is transported without damage or loss. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements for manual transmission required. Experience operating various truck types including flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks is highly desirable. Knowledge of safety procedures related to load & unload operations and vehicle maintenance checks. Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts when necessary for loading or unloading freight. Strong understanding of transportation regulations and compliance requirements for commercial driving. Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to safety and customer service.
