The Independent Living Program assists persons who have a disability to develop self-reliance and independence so that they can participate fully in the communities where they live. Wyoming Independent Living is currently seeking a Part-Time Driver. This is a provisional PRN position, with a variable schedule of up to 15 hours per week. Additional hours may be scheduled as needed. The principal responsibilities for this position include: Drive staff to scheduled appointments. Provide friendly, prompt, door-to-door, round trip service. Provide support to include lifting and carrying equipment, as needed. Applicants interested in being considered for this position should meet the following requirements: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred. Flexibility in scheduling of hours for driving. Operates a low-profile vehicle without sidesteps for accessibility A valid driver's license with no more than two moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record in the past three years. Must complete a background check with results satisfactory to WIL, including but not limited to criminal history, motor vehicle records, and sex offender registry. Must have knowledge of relevant traffic laws and safe motor vehicle operation. Must have the ability to read, understand, and follow route directions and maps. Must have a positive attitude.
