Job Opportunity:

USCG Licensed Captain Location:

Southern California So Cal Ship Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced USCG Licensed Captain to join our team in Southern California. As a member of our crew, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe navigation and operation of various vessels in both coastal and offshore environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate and navigate a variety of vessels within Southern California's coastal and offshore waters Ensure the proper maintenance and operation of all onboard systems Supervise and guide crew members to ensure smooth vessel operations Perform safety drills and maintain safety equipment in compliance with USCG standards Maintain accurate logs, reports, and records as required by USCG regulations Ensure vessels meet all regulatory and legal requirements

Qualifications:

USCG Master License (100 GT or higher) required Minimum of 3 years of experience as a licensed captain, with familiarity in Southern California waters preferred Experience with vessel maintenance and safety protocols Excellent communication and leadership skills Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays Valid TWIC card and current medical certificate
