Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Boat Captain to lead vessel operations with enthusiasm and precision. As a Boat Captain, you will be responsible for safely navigating boats, managing crew members, and ensuring an exceptional experience for passengers or clients. Your leadership, mechanical expertise, and management skills will drive smooth operations while maintaining the highest safety standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on the water, showcasing your maritime skills in a fast-paced environment that values safety, teamwork, and professionalism. Duties Safely operate and navigate boats of various sizes, adhering to all maritime laws and safety protocols Lead and manage crew members to ensure efficient daily operations and excellent customer service Conduct pre-departure inspections, including rigging checks, mechanical assessments, and safety equipment verification Oversee onboard safety procedures, including emergency drills and safety briefings for passengers or crew Maintain detailed logs of trips, maintenance activities, and safety incidents Coordinate with management to plan routes, schedules, and special events or charters Perform routine mechanical troubleshooting and basic repairs to ensure vessel readiness at all times Qualifications Proven experience as a Boat Captain or similar maritime leadership role with a strong safety record Valid maritime captain's license or equivalent certification required by local regulations with 100 ton certification Military experience in navigation, leadership, or technical roles highly preferred Demonstrated management skills with the ability to lead a team effectively in a dynamic environment Solid knowledge of rigging techniques, mechanical systems, and vessel maintenance procedures Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues quickly and perform basic repairs when needed Excellent communication skills for clear coordination with crew members and clients Must be able to pass Drug and alcohol screening according to US Coast Guard regulations Join us in delivering memorable water-based experiences while showcasing your maritime expertise!
