Tour Boat Captain

Responsibilities Safely operate tour boats, ensuring compliance with all maritime safety regulations and company policies Lead passenger tours, sharing interesting facts and stories about the local area to enhance visitor engagement Manage vessel operations including navigation, docking, and departure procedures with precision and confidence Conduct pre-trip inspections of the boat's mechanical systems, rigging, and safety equipment to guarantee optimal performance Oversee crew members or assistants when applicable, providing management and guidance during tours Respond promptly to any onboard emergencies or safety concerns, coordinating with emergency responders if necessary Maintain detailed logs of trips, safety checks, maintenance issues, and passenger counts to ensure operational transparency Requirements Valid maritime captain's license or equivalent certification demonstrating proficiency in vessel operation Must have multi-screw experience Experience in management or leadership roles, preferably within a maritime or related environment Familiarity with rigging techniques and safety procedures for securing vessels and equipment Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests, crew members, and emergency personnel Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining high energy levels and enthusiasmThis role is perfect for motivated individuals who thrive on adventure, enjoy managing operations smoothly, and are passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences.
