Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and dependable Part-Time Boat Captain to safely and efficiently operate a 60ft twin screw tour vessel with a capacity of 120 passengers. The vessel runs three daily trips: two excursions to Shell Island and one sunset cruise. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, a deep understanding of maritime navigation, and the capability to manage crew members effectively. This role requires a commitment to safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle mechanical issues that may arise during operations.

Duties include but are not limited to: Navigate and operate vessels in various weather conditions while ensuring the safety of all passengers and crew. Manage daily operations in compliance with maritime regulations. Conduct pre-departure checks on equipment to ensure all systems are functioning properly. Maintain accurate logs of vessel operations, including navigation records, fuel usage, and maintenance activities. Respond promptly to emergencies or mechanical failures, utilizing strong problem-solving skills to address issues effectively. Collaborate with shore-based management to coordinate schedules, routes, and logistics for trips. Requirements Valid 100 Ton captain's license and drivers license. Proven experience as a Boat Captain or in a similar maritime role. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and manage equipment issues as they arise. Ability to lead a team while fostering a positive work environment. Excellent communication skills for interacting with crew members, passengers, and shore-based personnel. Familiarity with navigational equipment and maritime laws is essential. Must be able to pass drug test to participate in the consortium.
