Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled captain to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing and operating small vessels in the Casco Bay, ensuring the safety of passengers and crew and interacting with passengers in a lively fast paced tour. It is paramount that you be able to safely navigate the 39ft Single prop Duck Boat with a bow thruster in the Casco Bay. You will always be able to contact the manager and ticket crew whether on land or sea and the manager will be monitoring the weather. Please note captains are not tour guides, as such you are not responsible for narrating the tour if you do not want to.Responsibilities:
- Safely operate and navigate the Duck Boat in various weather conditions.
- Ensure the safety of passengers and crew on board
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the Duck Boat
- Perform Pre & Post trip inspections with the assistance of a mechanic.
- Manage emergency situations effectively
- Provide excellent customer service to passengers during the tour.
- Oversee loading and unloading of passengers
Requirements:
- 25 Ton USCG Masters License
- Proficient in emergency operations on the water
- Ability to manage a team effectively
