Customers required to leave a minimum 18% tip. Makes the day on the lake really worth your wild! We are seeking both full-time and part-time pontoon boat captains for this coming season. Our boats are solid pontoons and the owner is an active working owner who drives one of the boats every now and then and is always available to address our employees questions. Owner is a licensed captain and holds a OUPV License with a 100 Ton Masters Endorsement through the United States Coast Guard. We're looking for responsible boat captains who can take out groups of up to 15 people for private charters on Lake Austin. Must be friendly, outgoing and able to entertain customers and create memorable experiences. Definitely need to be available for weekends with occasional weekday tours. Holiday weekends a must! Memorial Weekend and the 4th of July! Weekend work days are long (Three tours a day; 10am-9pm). Weekday tours range from 3-4 hours each. Being available during the weekdays (10-4pm) is not required but would be a definite bonus for us considering the day of calls we receive and local families looking to get out during the summer. Our boats are docked on Lake Austin near Hula Hut. No trailering of boats will be required but it is helpful if you can assist with trailering/maintenance. It's a great job for someone who enjoys being out on the lake, responsible, attentive and likes being around others. Our guests are generally in happy moods so you'll be around a bunch of happy people quite often. We pay a competitive rate of $20 per hour. Most boat trips will leave anywhere from a $60-$180 tip. That equates to $35 - $70 per hour...all for cruising around on a pontoon!
