We are currently seeking a Dredge Captain to join our team. This position requires a highly reputable and experienced individual who can effectively lead, manage, and support our crew. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

(This is not all-inclusive) Upholds the Company's commitment to an injury-free workplace; leads and models safe work practices Follows all safety rules and regulations as well as all company policies and procedures Works safely around machinery; observes and instructs others in proper equipment use; uses/wears all required PPE Ensures team members are provided a safe work environment and are knowledgeable of safe work practices and policies Reviews equipment logs, deficiency logs, maintenance logs, and leverman logs and performs follow-up inspections on a daily basis and notes results in appropriate safety inspection form and maintenance logs Plans the safe and efficient execution of all moves Supervises the performance of the dredge, the crew, and the equipment to achieve maximum efficiency on both shifts Oversees inventory and ordering all supplies and spare parts along with housekeeping of equipment Performs duties as the safety director and is responsible for the safety of his crew and equipment Plans and oversees repairs and maintenance Works directly with the chief and the equipment manager to properly and efficiently make needed repairs and maintenance Performs other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent Three or more years of Dredge Captain experience Excellent safety and mechanical skills Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position as outlined in the Functional Job Description Must be able to successfully pass all pre-employment screening (drug test, fit test) in addition to random drug and alcohol testing

SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION

Weekly pay, one week in arrears Standard work hours are typically 12 hours daily; however, adjustments may be made depending on the operational requirements This position typically works a 14 day on, 7 day off rotation This is an FLSA salaried exempt position Candidates who do not meet the minimum requirements will not be considered.
