This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a variety of trucks, including hook trucks, roll-off, dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and flatbeds. Your expertise in heavy lifting, load & unload procedures, and mechanical knowledge will ensure timely and safe deliveries across diverse routes. This position is paid and provides a vital link in our supply chain, supporting our mission to deliver excellence every day. Duties Safely operate various commercial trucks such as hook trucks, roll-off, dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and flatbeds to transport goods efficiently. Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques or mechanical equipment while adhering to safety protocols. Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections of vehicles, ensuring all mechanical systems are functioning properly before each shift. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and compliance records in line with transportation regulations. Ability to perform a physically demanding job, loading and unloading, at times with no helpers. Communicate effectively with dispatch to coordinate delivery schedules and address any route or vehicle issues promptly. Follow all traffic laws and safety procedures diligently to ensure personal safety and that of others on the road. Requirements Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating heavy trucks such as dump trucks, flatbeds, or tractor-trailers. Proven experience in commercial driving and delivery operations with a strong focus on safety. Mechanical knowledge of truck systems including manual transmissions and basic troubleshooting skills. Minimum 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during load & unload activities. Familiarity with different truck types including roll-off trucks and dump trucks; experience with flatbed hauling is desirable. Ability to pass a pre-hire DOT drug screen/ongoing random program; asbestos physical; pulmonary function test; respirator fit test; and audiogram, as applicable.
