Job Description

CDL Driver Class A or Class B for Refuse Collection Berryville, AR From $19.28 an hour - Full-time From $19.28 an hour - Full-time Under the supervision of the Deputy Director and his Route Manager, CDL drivers are responsible for operating collection, service and transport trucks with braking and other systems that require a Class A or Class B CDL license. These will include pick-up, flat-bed, dump-bed, compaction, roll-off, and transport trucks with high gross vehicle weight certifications. CDL drivers must have a valid Commercial Driver's License with no restrictions and with a rating appropriate for the equipment they are assigned to operate. The information is intended to descible the general nature of this position, and is not to be considered a complete statement of duties, responsibilities, and requirements: Driving collection and roll-off service routes using all trypes of trucks; Collect residential and commercial solid waste and recyclable materials in hand-load and semi-automated modes; Deliver, set, pick up, and transport all sizes of roll-off containers between customer sites, disposal destinations, and container storage areas; Assist residential and commercial customers in the proper placement and dispostion of waste and recyclable material; Operate rear-end loading compaction truck equipment including hydraulic packers, hoists, and cart tippers; Operate all sizes of roll-off hoists, tipping beds, and roll-off "pup" trailers to load and unload roll-off containers; Operate and perform basic and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment described above; Greet and assist all District customers in a courteous and helpful manner; Perform other duties as assigned in support of the District's solid waste management programs.
