08/04/11, 07/24/18, 01/01/2021 Summary Collects refuse and recyclable materials on designated route within Hot Springs Village by performing the following duties. Requires valid Arkansas driver license and clean driving record with proof of liability insurance. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Gathers and carries containers from individual yards or locations along route and dumps refuse from containers onto truck. 2. Starts hoisting device that raises refuse bin attached to truck. 3. Dumps contents into opening in enclosed truck body. 4. Gathers separated recycling materials and dumps them into recycling bins on truck. 5. Assists in unloading and cleaning garbage truck, equipment and tools. 6. Operates equipment necessary to process recycling materials. 7. Adhere to and be knowledgeable of Property Owners Association (P.O.A.) safety, personnel, and solid waste policies. 8. Use tact and courtesy in dealing with the public and report complaints to crew leader. 9. May be required to drive P.O.A. vehicle or personal vehicle while conducting P.O.A. business. 10. Regular attendance is required. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. Page Break Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Requires a valid Arkansas driver's license and clean driving record with proof of liability insurance.
