In this role, you will operate various tow trucks, including flatbed and wheel-lift models, to assist customers with vehicle breakdowns, accidents, or relocations. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and customer service will be essential to providing top-tier service while maintaining safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your skills make a direct impact every day. Responsibilities Operate tow trucks safely and efficiently to recover, transport, and load vehicles in various conditions. Use automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge to assess vehicle issues when needed. Load and unload vehicles carefully using appropriate equipment such as flatbeds or wheel-lifts. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients during vehicle recovery or transport. Manage conflict situations professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain detailed records of all recoveries, loads, and trips for reporting purposes. Conduct routine inspections of tow trucks and related equipment like forklifts to ensure optimal operation. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license with a clean driving record and experience driving tow trucks or similar commercial vehicles. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair and diagnostics. Ability to operate manual transmissions confidently in various weather conditions. Experience with flatbed tow trucks, wheel-lifts, or other specialized towing equipment. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools and troubleshooting techniques. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage conflict professionally when necessary. Physical ability to load/unload vehicles manually or using mechanical aids such as forklifts if required. Preferred qualifications include mechanic experience, proficiency in automotive repair, conflict management skills, and familiarity with forklift operation. This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in vehicle recovery while delivering outstanding service in a safety-conscious environment.
