  • Vacuum / Pneumatic Operator has dual responsibility, that of Class A driver and a Vacuum / Pneumatic Operator. As a Commercial driver (CDL A) this position ensures safe and efficient operation of tractor-trailer interstate and/or intrastate to various customer locations. At the designated customer sites, the Commercial Driver-Vacuum Pneumatic Operator will connect/set
  • up/disconnect hoses and equipment at various locations.
This may include manually attaching manifold, hose, and pneumatically conveying material to various locations; Set up, operate, or tend continuous flow to silo type equipment. This position will adhere to
FMCSA/DOT/ICC
safety regulations and Apex Bulk Commodities safety protocols. Driver will ensure to build relationships with each customer by demonstrating a friendly attitude and become familiar with the customers operations to meet needs and expectations. Responsibilities Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance. Document and log work/rest periods Ensure that the truck has proper and current inspections. Compliance with all D.O.T. requirements. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company and client-specific policies and procedures. Collect and verify delivery instructions. Report defects, accidents or violations Be able to provide documentation related to DOT/FMCSA, equipment, driver qualifications and hours of service upon request. Requirements Tanker and Doubles endorsement required. Valid Class A CDL license Minimum age of 23 years old Current DOT medical card/registered with state. Proven work experience as a truck driver Ability to work nights and weekends. Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations No recent moving or driving violations. Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.) Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations.
